Roses are red - The Wedding gala 2024
The Annual Wedding Gala is a night of elegance, celebration & camaraderie for the wedding industry celebrating creativity and innovation.
Film and Foliage was honoured to join the team of incredibly talented vendors who bring this unforgettable event to life.
Garden florals at The Newcastle Club
“I showed Ash a couple of Pinterest images of cottage garden flowers bouquets and she said something like ‘Ok we’ll take that and refine it a bit with lots of delphiniums’ and basically went from there.
The mood board and her guidance was exactly what I needed as I had never thought that much about flowers apart from always admiring the arrangements on her Instagram image.
I felt the flowers really added to the sense of occasion and gave a feel of a joyous spring day. I also think whenever I smell delphiniums for the rest of my life I will think of my wedding.”

“I was drawn to Film and Foliage immediately for two main reasons - the first being how progressive and unique Ash’s installations and bouquets were. I was drawn to how natural the arrangements looked, how each flower stem moved in her bouquets, and how all of this detail was so carefully considered. The second reason was how deeply Ash cared about the environment and supporting local. To not use floral foam, and to innovate constantly to have as little environmental impact as possible was quite incredible to me. I also loved how much Ash supported local growers. I felt like were immediately in the best hands, with someone who was so passionate about what they did.”

“Flowers have always been part of Scott's love language to me. Over the years he has given me some incredible flowers, and even been 40mins late for a date because he was stuck in traffic picking up an enormous bouquet that was half my height. So choosing the right florist for our day was important to us. I had been following Film & Foliage on instagram for a few years now, and after speaking with a few other florists she was Scott's number 1 pick! (Yes, Scott made the final decision on our florist - he was very firm that we couldn't have anyone else). Ash was so warm and open to our ideas from the get-go, and always had great ideas to add. We love her sustainable approach, her creative flair and that she was so, so easy to work with. We loved working with you Ash and were absolutely blown away at our flowers on the day. Everyone could not stop talking about how beautiful they were! They really brought (even more) beauty and energy to the day.”
Flannel Flowers at Wallalong House
“They are my favourite flowers. I love their soft, whimsical look and the fact they are native to Australia and grow wild in the most beautiful places. Our wedding was at the very end of the season, and I was worried we wouldn’t be able to have them but Ash was amazing and was able to hunt them down. Ed also surprised me and had them embroidered on his suite which was so special. Also I didn’t know until the next day but there was actually a glass door at the venue which was inlaid with Flannel Flowers so it was meant to be!”

“I will never forget, walking around the corner of the house to see the ceremony set up, wow. The flower towers that you created!! It was something I had NEVER seen before; I couldn't believe it was ours. Honestly, I was in shock. Even though I was in my dress, we had done our first look, that was the first moment of the day that I really was like "we are getting married baby!!" “
Krinklewood Romance
“Seeing the florals that Film and Foliage created for the ceremony was genuinely the most magical moment of the day! I had a pretty clear idea in my head of what I wanted the ceremony space it to look like, but what Ash created just blew my expectations and was absolutely incredible! It made walking down the aisle memorable. So many of our guests have said how magical the ceremony space was.”
